Wrapped

From this assignment, I learned that a wrapped object can definitely be called art. its what you wrap that really matters. in my picture i wanted to do something elegant yet rough. so i decided to wrap flowers from my garden with rough paper with tools on it. so through this assignment i was able to see how art can be described in the most unique ways. Christo's work inspired m with this photo, along with many others to come

TED talk

This TED talk focuses on how photography really connects us deeply, not just emotionally. The TED talk was spoken by the National Geographic photography directer, David Griffin, who truly understands what the power of photography really does. David described some of his top National Geographic photographers experiences. The stories these photographers brought back with them are amazing. He talked about how photography has the power to connect us to our world, and from this you can really understand where the saying 'an image speaks more than a thousand words' comes from. He talked about how photographs have the power to tell stories.

For me its amazing to see how much pictures can make such an impact on people. photography has the power to tell unspoken stories. Photographers have the power to tell the stories of the amazing places they've traveled. whenever i see a powerful photo it kind of reminds me of a great book. they say that when you read a book it can take you places. Now whenever i see one of these photos i feel like it takes me to the place it was captured. From the TED talk i realize the emption that is in a photograh and you can sometimes feel that emotion too. thats the power of photography for me.

i really like the way David Griffin described what the power of photographs hav. he put a bit of his own experiences in there too. he said that in one memorable experience of his, he took a kind of mental picture fo it. to me that also shows how pictures can be keep memories within them. i liked how he made the talk relatable. where someone can understand what he is saying and go back to an event where they can relat to what he is saying. overall i think it was a great TED talk
